IRVING, Texas ----- Ten UAB student-athletes are among those having earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2005-06 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky has announced. The medals are given to C-USA student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above during the academic year.

The UAB student-athletes honored for their academic success are: Mikael Saway, Baseball; Jennifer Thompson, Women's Cross Country; Jeremy Drake, Men's Soccer; Lukasz Kwapisz, Men's Soccer; Pamela Cooney, Women's Soccer; Laura Skridulis Women's Soccer; Shannon Scull, Softball; Sebastian Falk, Men's Tennis; Tracy Rowan, Women's Track & Field; and Casey Dent, Volleyball.
