BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB Associate Athletics Director for Media Relations Norm Reilly will be recognized next week at the annual CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Workshop in San Diego when he receives the organization's 25-Year Award for his service to the profession.

Reilly, who joined the Blazers' athletic program in April, 2002, will be presented the award at CoSIDA's awards luncheon next Tuesday.

Reilly began his career in the sports information field at the University of Georgia, his alma mater, in the early 1980s. He spent 15 years working at UGA first as a graduate assistant, then as an assistant director and finally associate director his last seven years there before moving to East Carolina where he served as Assistant AD for Media Relations for five and a half years.

Reilly, a native of Atlanta, was named a 2006 recipient of the Scoop Hudgins Outstanding SID Award by the All-America Football Foundation.
