Mandy Miller began her first year as an assistant athletic trainer at UAB in the fall of 2006. She oversees all of the Blazers' women's sports, but works directly with the women's basketball team. Miller, a 1998 graduate of UAB, received her bachelor's degree in Health Promotions before going on to earn her master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Tennessee in 2006. While at Tennessee, she served as a graduate assistant in the Athletic Training department, serving as the athletic trainer for the Lady Vols swimming and diving team. During her time as an undergraduate at UAB, Miller was a member of the Blazers' volleyball team from 1993-96. Miller is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association as well as certified in strength and conditioning through the NSCA. |
