Description:
The Blazer Women's Athletic Society is an organization formed in 2008 to provide UAB's female student-athletes with the greatest opportunity for success in academics and athletics by forming a network of women who raise funds for scholarships and facilities and additionally serve as positive examples of sharing, leadership, and character.

The Blazer Women's Athletic Society hosts several networking and character building events throughout the year, including the Belles & Whistles Luncheon, an annual fundraising event held each September, to generate revenue for Blazer women student-athlete initiatives. The 2009 Belles & Whistles Luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. at The Club.
