BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The UAB rifle team will open its 2007-08 schedule next month with back-to-back road competitions at Memphis and Ole Miss.

The Blazers begin their new season the weekend of Oct. 6-7 when they go against the Tigers of Memphis on Saturday, Oct. 6 before heading onto Oxford, Miss to meet Ole Miss a day later.

UAB resumes its schedule on Dec. 1 when it competes against The Citadel and Wofford at Charleston, S.C. After more than a month and a half between meets, the Blazers face a busy weekend in late January. On Thursday, Jan. 24, UAB will shoot at the Tiger Invitational in Memphis with a competition a day later at Murray State.

UAB wraps up the weekend in the Skyhawk Invitational, hosted by UT-Martin, on Jan. 26.

The Blazers conclude the season on Feb. 17 when they take part in the NRA Sectionals at Oxford, Miss.
