TUSCON, Ariz. --- UAB's synchronized swimming team completed the semifinals competition to advance two teams to the finals in group competition. The Blazers team A, Luna Aguilu, Amanda Haeuser, Stacey Jackson, Stephanie Jackson, Stacy Leiker, Kara Morgan and Bogdana Zareva, finished in third place, with a score of 91.666. UAB's team B, Hannah Freer, Kristin Kramer, Megan Kelly, Sarah Pikal and Moraine Ruddick, finishes in seventh with a score of 83.417. UAB and Ohio State are the only schools to advance two teams to the finals.

"I am really excited to have both teams in the finals," said head coach Lisa Riddell. "Both teams swam really well. It was just a really good day."

The finals are set for Saturday March 22.
