BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB synchronized swimming team continues its 2005 schedule when it hosts Incarnate Word Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Bell Aquatics Center. The Blazers and Cardinals met last season in San Antonio and swam to a 95-95 tie.

UAB is coming off a second-place finish last weekend at its home tri-meet against Stanford and Florida. The Blazers finished with 72 points as a team, behind the Cardinal's 90 but ahead of the Gators' 36.

UAB's team of Morgan Clarke, Frances Halloran, Stephanie Jackson, Stacy Jackson, Megan Kelly, Sara Petrov, Hallie Todd and Amanda Weinstein finished second in the team event with a score of 91.667, just behind Stanford's team score of 93.667.

Petrov also placed second in the solo event with a score of 89.500. Stanford's Katie Rose Norris finished first with a 94.000. Petrov and Clarke recorded a third place score in the duet, while sisters Stephanie and Stacey Jackson came in fourth in the same event.
