BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Seniors Kelli Dickerson, Kristen Kramer, Sarah Pikal and Moraine Ruddick, along with sophomores Stephanie Jackson and Stacey Jackson were named Academic All-Americans by the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Collegiate Coaches Committee. Athletes must earn at least a 3.25 grade point average (GPA) to be named an Academic All-American. In addition, juniors Amanda Haeuser and Stacy Leiker were named All-Americans, and senior Bogdana Zareva was named an Honorary All-American by the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Collegiate Coaches Committee.

Kramer is receiving the honor for the third consecutive year and Stephanie and Stacey Jackson are now two-time honorees. Leiker and Haeuser received All-America honors for the second consecutive season and Zareva is now a two-time Honorary All-American.

UAB next competes at the U.S. National Championships April 23-26 in Long Island, N.Y. The U.S. Nationals represent the top synchronized swimming programs from all levels of competition. The Blazers will be making their fourth appearance at the event.

UAB is coming off a third place national finish at the U.S. Collegiate Championships held March 20-22 in Tucson, Ariz. The Blazers finished behind National Champion Ohio State and Stanford.
