Grandia Advances at U.S. Nationals

Grandia will now compete in the next phase in December

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - UAB sophomore Meryl Grandia finished amongst the top-25 competitors at the U.S. Nationals meet this past weekend. By advancing through phases one and two, Grandia will now have the opportunity to move on to phase three next December as she strives to qualify for the 2008 U.S. National Team.

Grandia's standout performance at the U.S. Nationals comes after being named an All-America selection for the first time at the Collegiate Championship back in March.

The Blazers have completed their 2007 campaign, a season the team finished fourth at the Collegiate Championship and produced two All-Americans, Grandia and senior Sara Petrov.
