TUSCALOOSA, Ala. --- UAB's track and field team completed day two at the Alabama Relays with several season bests.

Sophomore Adrienne Duke finished the heptathlon ninth overall, seventh collegiately, setting a new season best in the 800-meters (2:26.47). Dukes overall score of 4209 ranks her fifth in school history. Freshman Olivia Ross-Hurst finished her first collegiate heptathlon in 11th overall (3993), ninth collegiately, also with season bests in all seven events.

"Olivia Ross-Hurst had seven personal bests and she is progressing towards good things," said assistant coach Jennifer Robeson. "Adrienne and Olivia moved up a place, so that speaks well about their performances."

Junior Amanda Kara finished the 10,000-meter run in third place, with a time of 37:59.79, a new personal best and fifth fastest in school history.

"So far we have had three individuals compete and we have had three personal bests," said head coach Ray Stanfield. "This seems to be the direction this season is heading. The girls are running better."
