DES MOINES, Iowa --- The UAB track and field team completed day two of the Drake Relays here Friday.

In the 4X200 meter relay, UAB's team of Normanie McKenzie, Doella Miller, Adrienne Duke and Elace Minnifield finished second in their preliminary heat, with a time of 1:42.94.

"It was a good run this morning against really tough competitors," said assistant coach Jennifer Robeson.

The Blazer relay team of McKenzie, Miller, Duke and Minnifield finished the 4X400 meter relay with a time of 3:47.31 in the preliminary heat with a second best time for the season.

"We ran a great race with stiff competition," said Robeson. "We ran in a great field of competitors."

The relay team of Miller, McKenzie, Minnifield and Donna Pucke will compete in the sprint medleys Saturday morning to complete the Drake Relays.
