BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB cross country team placed tenth in the 14th annual Crimson Classic Cross Country Invitational on Saturday held at the Harry Pritchett Golf Course in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Freshman Andrea Burdett was the top runner for UAB placing 42nd with a time of 18:56.40. A native of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Burdett finished second at the UAH/Howard Bentley Invitational on September 9th in Huntsville, Ala. She lead the Blazers to a first place finish in the meet.

The meet was won by the University of South Florida with 55 points while Ashley LaBudde, a junior from the University of Alabama won the 5,000-meter event with a time of 17:04.83.
