BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB continues the 2004 indoor track and field season at the Niswonger Foundation Track and Field Invitational hosted by East Tennessee State University at Johnson City, Tenn. The Blazers will compete in the event on Friday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 24.

The meet will be held in ETSU's Memorial Center and will showcase some of the world's top collegiate, post collegiate, and professional athletes. There are 41 men's and women's teams that have entered this year's competition. Included in these teams are host ETSU, Appalachian State, North Carolina and Alabama, among others.

The meet begins Friday at noon and the final event of the evening is set to begin at 9:00 p.m. Saturday's events begin at 8:00 a.m. and run all day. A detailed schedule, list of entrants, and results from the meet will be posted on www.flashresults.com/etsu.
