BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The UAB women's track and field team heads to Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau, Mo., Friday to compete in its last regular season indoor competition. The Blazers are coming off a three-week break from competition ready after weeks of intense conditioning.

The Blazers will compete against Murray State, Tennessee-Martin and Southeast Missouri State in competition.

UAB has faced a challenging schedule this indoor season. The Blazers started the season at the Tennessee All-Comers Meet in Knoxville, Tenn. and took home first place in every competition except the pole vault which they did not enter. At the Saluki Invitational the Blazers finished fourth in overall competition with outstanding individual finishes. The Blazers faced tough competition at the Purple and Gold Classic in Baton Rouge, La. where the team performed well.
