Was redshirted in 2006 but burst on the scene with an outstanding campaign in 2007 ... came in as a defensive back though he had played on both sides of the ball as a prep standout, but he was moved to receiver during '06 campaign and has remained at the position listed at No. 1 at "H" receiver position heading into fall practice. 2007: Started six games of season and was team leader in receptions (49) and receiving yardage (563) ... also had a team-best five touchdown catches ... registered 20 receptions for 183 yards over the last three games (vs. UCF, Memphis and Marshall) ... also had seven catches for a season-high 122 yards at Tulsa ... caught two touchdown passes against Tulsa ... his season reception total of 49 is fifth-best in UAB history ... ... had season-long and team-best 68-yard reception vs. Houston ... led team in kickoff returns as well with average of 22.0 average ... had kickoff return for touchdown vs. Tulane ... led team in all-purpose yardage with 1,158.. 2006: Did not see any action in first season at UAB and was redshirted.
