Football Team Goes Through Full-Pad Workout In Preparation For East Carolina
Nov. 12, 2002 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB football team worked out in full pads for just over two hours Tuesday under chilly weather conditions, as the team continued to look towards Saturday's matchup with East Carolina. Saturday's game is a pivotal contest for both teams, as bowl possibilities are riding on the outcome. UAB head coach Watson Brown was pleased with Tuesday's practice, as the team prepares to rebound from its Conference USA loss to Southern Miss last Saturday. "It was a good practice," said Brown. "We didn't work on a lot of specific things, but overall we had a solid practice." Brown feels Saturday's game will prove to be a tough contest for both squads. "We still have a lot to play for," Brown added. "East Carolina also still has a lot to play for and we know that they are going to come after us."
Saturday's kickoff is scheduled for approximately 2 p.m.
