Freshman Lindsay Taylor recorded a score of 90 to place in a tie for 73rd. Junior Christina Wentworth and freshman Emi Boozer rounded out the Blazers' scoring with scores of 91 and 95, respectively, to put themselves in 75th and 81st place heading into round two.

Brown's Blythe Crane is leading the individual race, shooting a two-over par 73 through 18 holes.

Closely behind Yale in the team standings is Rollins with a first-round score of 313. Harvard is in third place at 314, while Pennsylvania and Georgetown round out the top five with marks of 321 and 322, respectively.

"We just did not play well today," said UAB head coach Kim Wilcox. "It is windy out here, but we are just not playing like we should be. Hopefully, we can get it together and have a better outing tomorrow."

The Blazers will conclude their competition at the Yale Invitational on Saturday, with tee time scheduled for 8:00 a.m.
