Blazers In 10th Entering Final Round Of Lady Red Wolf Classic
Oct. 13, 2008 JONESBORO, Ark. - The UAB women's golf team ended day one of the Lady Red Wolf Classic in 10th place with a two-round score of 657. The Blazers shot rounds of 329 and 328 at the par-71, 5,983-yard Jonesboro Country Club. Sophomore Jaime Brabb shot back-to-back rounds of 78 to pace the Blazers and sit in a tie for 11th place overall with a total of 156. Sophomore Lindsay Taylor carded a 165 to tie for 43rd in the standings. Seniors Alyson Mitchell and Christina Wentworth both ended the day with 36-hole scores of 168 to tie for the 55th position. Sophomore Ashley Looney rounded out UAB's efforts in 73rd place with a total of 192. Drake is leading the team standings after shooting rounds of 306 and 305 for a two-round total of 611. Central Arkansas is in second place at 613, followed by Murray State in third with a score of 617. The third and final round of competition at the Lady Red Wolf Classic will be held on Tuesday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT.
