UAB Women's Golf Competes in Lady Jaguar Invitational Monday And Tuesday
March 4, 2007 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's golf team continues its spring schedule as it will compete in the Lady Jaguar Invitational, hosted by the University of South Alabama, on Monday and Tuesday. The two-day event will be held at the Azalea City Golf Course in Mobile, Ala. The Blazers, headed by fifth-year head coach Kim Wilcox, are coming off of a seventh-place finish at Birmingham-Southern's Ann Rhoads Shootout last week, shooting a combined team score of 631. Freshman Carolyn Cochran led the way for UAB with a two-round total of 153 to finish 11th overall. South Alabama compete along side UAB in the Ann Rhoads Shootout last week, taking fourth with a 36-hold score of 621. Other schools participating in the Lady Jaguar Invitational are Alabama State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Jacksonville State, Jackson State, Lamar, Louisiana-Monroe, Mercer, McNeese State, Middle Tennessee State, Nicholls State, Samford, Southern Miss, Troy, Western Carolina and Winthrop.
