BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's golf team will participate in the Cincinnati Spring Invitational, beginning on Friday, at the Plantation Inn Golf Course in Crystal Lake, Fla. The two-day event will feature 10 teams playing 18 holes each day.

Joining UAB and host-school Cincinnati in the event will be Florida Atlantic, Illinois, Middle Tennessee State, Princeton, Rutgers, Siena, Yale and the Swedish Amateur Team.

This marks the second consecutive season that the Blazers have competed in the Cincinnati Spring Invitational. Last year, UAB finished third in the team standings, led by Christina Wentworth with a two-round score of 156 to take the individual tournament title.

The Cincinnati Spring Invitational is UAB's fourth event of the spring season, and its first since March 5-6 at the University of South Alabama Lady Jaguar Invitational.
