BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB's softball game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs originally scheduled for tonight at 6 p.m. in Starkville, Miss., has been postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at the same time.

The Blazers and Bulldogs were set to play for the second time this season on Tuesday at the MSU Softball Field. MSU defeated UAB by a score of 8-3 in Birmingham on March 8. Tuesday's postponement is the first this season for UAB.

UAB head coach Marla Townsend also announced that this Saturday's game against DePaul at George Ward Park in Birmingham will now start at noon and not at the original time of 1 p.m.

The Blazers and Blue Demons will begin their Conference USA series on Friday with a doubleheader slated to start at 4 p.m. The series concludes on Saturday with Saturday's single game at noon.
