BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB softball team's doubleheader against 17th-ranked Florida State (42-7, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), scheduled for today at 1 p.m., has been canceled due to rain and wet field conditions.

UAB (22-26, 6-6 Conference USA) next travels to Louisville Saturday for a three-game Conference USA series against the Cardinals. Saturday's game will feature a doubleheader, starting at 1 p.m. (ET) and Sunday the teams will square off in a single game, also starting at 1 p.m. (ET).

The Blazers are coming off a three-game sweep of C-USA rival Saint Louis at the Billiken Sports Center. Friday, UAB swept both games of a doubleheader, winning the first game 1-0 and taking the second contest 5-1. Saturday, UAB defeated Saint Louis 4-2.
