BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB (22-29, 6-9 Conference USA) will host Charlotte (15-26, 1-14 C-USA) in a three-game Conference USA softball series over the weekend at George Ward Park Field No. 6. Saturday, the teams will meet in a doubleheader, starting at 1 p.m., and will then square off in a single game Sunday, also at 1 p.m. It will be the final home series of the season for UAB.

UAB leads the overall series with Charlotte 4-0. In their last meeting, May 11, 2000, at the C-USA Tournament in Hattiesburg, Miss., UAB defeated Charlotte 2-1.

Admission to the series is free.
