BIRMINGHAM - The UAB women's tennis team will host Tennessee-Chattanooga this Saturday at the Brook Highland Racquet Club. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m.

The Blazers are 0-1 on the season after losing their spring opener 4-2 to Troy State last weekend. Senior Monika Schmid and sophomore Femke deBoer were able to come away with the two Blazer points. Schmid, playing in the no. 1 spot, defeated Luisa Lopez 6-3, 6-1, while deBoer defeated Sally Linden 6-3, 7-5 at the no. 4 spot.

Tennessee-Chattanooga is 0-2 on the season, coming off a 5-0 loss to Brenau. The Mocs lost their opening match 7-0 to Georgia Tech.
